Building One is a secure, four-story, 125,000 sf Class-A office building serving a highly specialized tenant base. Completed in June of 2008, Building One is a development project by Konterra Realty and Boston Properties, designed by HOK and constructed by Balfour Beatty. The development team designed Building One to provide the best work environment for the target tenant profile using the principles of both sustainability and technology.
Building One was designed to provide specialized suites with the greatest flexibility and in the most efficient way. A typical floor plan is divided and constructed into smaller pre-configured, program-separated tenant “suites” to accommodate sizes that range from 16 persons to 34 persons. Each tenant suite is outfitted with systems furniture, raised flooring, computer equipment and telephones as part of each workstation and in each office.
Building One amenities include a deli providing food service to tenants, as well as a conference facility which can accommodate up to 300 people. Building One was designed and constructed to achieve LEED “Gold” Certification, which serves as the foundation of the Developer’s sustainable commitment throughout Annapolis Junction Business Park.
